15 Thu, Dec 2011 Following heavy rains in and around the Kruger area, South African National Parks (SanParks) has issued an urgent warning. The following areas have been affected: Entrance Gates: • Crocodile Bridge The road between Letaba and Olifants is not accessible. All gravel roads and low-level bridges must be avoided. Currently, the following three facilities are closed: • Biyamiti Bush Camp The road between Letaba and Phalaborwa is flooded and Letaba Camp is without electricity as the generator room is flooded. Federal Air confirmed that the airline did experience flight cancellations yesterday due to the weather, however at this stage all flights are planned to resume on the normal schedule tomorrow. The airline said that it will update its information accordingly The causeway on the road between Skukuza and Malelane/ Pretoriuskop (6km from Skukuza) is flooded. The Tinga Private Lodge was being evacuated and guests who were on the Sweni Wilderness Trail have already been evacuated.
